Born in Korea and based in Naarm(Melbourne), Yoony Yoony explores themes of freedom, adversity, and empathy through contemporary interpretations of Korean traditional painting. Her practice began with reflections on her family’s experiences and Korean history but has since expanded to embrace stories of resilience and care shared across the world. Painting inspiration from nature and its quiet strength, she expresses the desire for peace, dignity, and harmony within human life.
